Since the 1950s, Topps has sold baseball trading cards filled with photos and stats, bringing the game to life. Now the company is bringing its cards to life.
Beginning Monday, collectors who hold a special Topps 3D Live baseball card in front of a webcam will see a three-dimensional avatar of the player on the computer screen. Rotate the card, and the figure rotates in full perspective. It’s called “augmented reality,” a combination of a real image with a virtual one.
I think I scream at Adobe for this glitch about 2 times a day. It has been doing this in pretty much all OS X Photoshop users for the past few versions of photoshop. All of a sudden you will be doing something simple such as Save for Web, Text Editing, moving a layer, and the Beach Ball of Death will appear and spin for no reason from 1-10 minutes. It only happens with Photoshop at least on my computer. Adobe and Apple are probably ( I am not joking ) responsible for a good 2-5 hours wasted a week between all the people in my office who use photoshop.
Please somebody get me this or find it for me. Soda with sugar instead of corn syrup, no matter what you say, is way better. ( now only if it came in a glass bottle instead of plastic )
UPDATE: Looks like the final artwork is out. They better keep this cane sugar version out for a long time.
I thought I would do a simple post that shows pics of where I live, Hood River, Oregon. I will update this as I get more cool photos or add a bit more info about the area.
This is looking at Hood River from the Washington side of the river. You can see Mount Hood in the Background and Hood River, in the foreground. Hood River is not named for the River in the front (that is the Columbia) it is named for the river that flows from Mt. Hood to the Columbia River. You can see where the Hood River pours into the Columbia, Middle left.
Took this shot above the Hood River Valley. Mount Hood is on the left, Hood River is on the right, down by the Gorge and Columbia River.
Hood River has a great downtown.
Hood River is located in the Columbia Gorge. It runs from Portland, east down the Columbia River for many miles.
I can’t imagine the amount of money they spent on all this fictitious crap. They might as well have shown some sketches from an art history 101 book then threw in a few AOL emoticons and called it good.
