I came across this car in front of work Friday and snapped a photo. After getting back to my computer I had to take it to the next level and give this person a personalized award.

Thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Please move to Austin.

  2. Stalag17 Says:

That is the most awesome thing I have ever seen. I’d have loved to see the expression on their face when they saw your award!

  3. Tofslie Says:

We waited around for a few hours but they never came. I was trying to complete the circle with the final pic. Oh well.

  4. Derrick Love Says:

    genius!

  5. Linc Says:

All the award is missing is a link to this page!

  6. adrian Says:

    that is my car :)

  7. Tofslie Says:

    Adrian Wins the Award!

  8. creation-undefined Says:

    awesome! hahaha.

  9. chameleon Says:

I love that you did that! It’s people like you that make this world bearable by laughing at our own little misfortunes :D

  10. chris Says:

A true piece of art! great job!

  11. kanuck Says:

well he did park it straight

  12. parkingnazi411 Says:

    Insufficient sarcasm.

  13. TMK- Says:

    Haha! Hilarious!

  14. Tim Says:

Well,at least they didn’t park up against the curb.
Technically one is supposed to park with the tire at the edge of the asphalt,18 inches away from the curb. The concrete area is the gutter and should be kept clear so when it rains, the water can flow freely in to the drains.
How many people here know that and park correctly? Not many I bet.

  15. Robbie Says:

    no-one likes a smartass tim.

    I rate that picture

  16. Tofslie Says:

Yup, there always is one person that has to ruin the fun. Good Job Tim.

  17. Charles Says:

You should have taken the picture with the award in the window and put it on an award, then replace the one in their window with that one.

  18. rp Says:

    Thank you Officer Tim.

Really is too bad they never showed up for the pic trifecta.

  19. Harry Says:

    Lol That cools

  20. Tofslie Says:

    re t3’s:

I think that defeats the purpose of what I did though. Its much more fun to give them a personalized picture of their stupidity to keep forever and ever amen.

  21. haddon Says:

actually, here in denver, it is illegal and ticketable to park more than 12 inches away from a curb, gutter or not. so that 18 inches thing doesnt stand everywhere.

  22. Mustard Says:

    You the man!

  23. morgan Says:

I live in Baltimore, MD and i see this all the time. What a great idea. I would go through at least 2 reams a paper a week if i did your idea.

  24. Debbie Says:

Hah hah, also good would have been “You’re parking is bad and you should feel bad.”

  25. mikotaku Says:

obviously photoshopped you can see the pixels around the award-duh…

but still, my friend, you have won the internet

  26. Tofslie Says:

Why would I photoshop this? It is 10 feet from my desk and took a whole 5 minutes to do. Are you stupid or something?

  27. haetmachine Says:

    >>28

you fail on so many levels.

  28. spriggig Says:

I don’t get it, the car is parallel to the curb and facing the correct direction. What’s wrong with this parking job?

    –Sideshow Bob.

  29. Tofslie Says:

    re: spriggig

    Okkkkkkkkk

  30. Josh Sommers Says:

    Epic win. :D

  31. ZAKATTACK Says:

SERIOUSLY. the douchebag that thinks this is photoshopped, not only are you ignorant but you made yourself look like an ass. not only are there a lack of “pixels showing” but the shading and lighting in the pic are exaclty right. if this WAS photoshopped then i would definetly PAY the person who could do this so expertly. awesome picture btw. i had someone leave a note on my car telling me they would wash it for free. lol.

  32. I hate Josh Says:

You took the time to fill in the info just to type “epic win”…I wish I could link to a picture of me punching you in the face for being such a douche

  33. Stefan Says:

    Haha, that’s great. Nice work!

  34. Mauricio Says:

    I wouldn’t do better….
    the award I mean :D

  35. AJ Says:

That’s awesome, it’s too bad the person didn’t come back. Would’ve been so much better.

And to anybody who thinks this is shopped, look at the backgrounds of the photos.

  36. Marchy Says:

Way back when I had driver’s ed someone parked in between two spaces RIGHT OUTSIDE of where class was held. The driver’s ed teacher left them a hilarious note. :)

also, for anyone that didn’t know… the “photoshop” thing is a joke. It’s been a running joke on the internet for quite some time. Also thanks to xkcd I claim things in real life are photoshopped for fun. If you don’t know what I’m talking about there please click my name. I’ve linked to the comic.

  37. Marchy Says:

oh yeah and this made my day :)

  38. AJ Says:

Shit, I didn’t pick up the sarcasm, you’re right. :( My bad.

  39. Suzie Says:

In IL when in drivers education class one is taught that your car must be 6-12 inches from the curb.

  40. Jim Sefton Says:

    LOL! Taxi to the curb!

@Marchy: That cartoon is funny, saw it a while back

  41. Mike Says:

Heh, now you should have printed out the reward, stuck it on his/her car, then taken another photo of it…

That way, they can see a reward on their car, with a picture of a reward on their car, with a picture of a reward on their car… etc.etc. It’s a fractal!

  42. Will Says:

@ Tim (#14) In California, you must park *within* 18 inches of the curb, so zero inches is legal, 18.1 inches is not. Vehicle Code Section 22502a.

  43. Diane Says:

Hahah! I’ve seen nothing quite that bad for ages.
I have seen some pretty awful parking across yellow lines up onto pavements, blocking disabled bays and outside the local school too. Some people shouldn’t be allowed to drive (or park!)

  44. Aj Says:

    Sh*t! It was Jessica’s car

  45. Bakuras Says:

    Smart !

  46. Henrah Says:

    submitted to passiveaggressivenotes.com =)

  47. natasha Says:

Umm this isn’t that funny or intelligent

  48. JIm Jomes Says:

LOL, now THAT is funny. I think I am going to make me a stack of those awards and keep them in my car.

    JT
    http://www.FireMe.To/udi

  49. SoLinkable Says:

    Definitely awesome. He deserved that.

  50. asdffdaegeg Says:

Next time print out the award
    put it on the car
    take a picture
print out a second award and replace the first
And you’ll have a recursive photo of the award and car.

  51. tek1024 Says:

    Honestly, this is solid gold.

  52. ROFL Says:

    Hey officer Tim

The law is you have to park “within 18 inches of the curb” not “at least 18 inches away”

Bad cop no donut for you!

Nice fast work on the award, you really should have recorded the girls reactions (yes girl, I know it is cuz woman drivers are the suxor)

  53. well Says:

actually, this person was handicapped and needed the extra space

  54. Berklie Says:

    Heh… that’s pretty damned funny.

  55. Rob Says:

yes: ‘insufficient sarcasm’. How about awarding someone who actually deserves it?

  56. Lambeau Says:

Well, i guess no one noticed the puke on the ground next to the car… I’d give the driver a break, he was hung over as hell.

  57. Tofslie Says:

    By Puke, you mean Oil.

  58. Adam Says:

I hate this kind of parking.. the guy next door parks like it. I like to call it penis parking!!!

    Its soo arrogant. nob

  59. Erich Says:

My girlfriend would be a recipient. Poor girl can’t park to save her life.

  60. Dave Greiman Says:

    Nicely done…

  61. skankityspence Says:

It would be even greater if he stumbles this page. :P

  62. Nik Says:

I once left something like that in the 1990s when I came out to the parking lot of WalMart to find the car next to me had parked so close that I literally had 1″ of movement on the left side. No one could get in the car from the left, and it was nearly impossible to get out of the space.

So I remembered something my older sister had given me, that I just happened to have in the trunk, saved for a rainy day. It was a laminated piece of paper with a huge picture of a smiling Mickey Mouse flipping the bird, and off to the side it said “Thanks a lot Asshole! Next time leave a f*cking can opener so I can get my car out!”. She told me to use it in case of emergency. So I did. Hope it made their day, because I know taking 15 minutes to get out of a WalMart parking lot sure made mine.

  63. Marchy Says:

OH it totally WAS a woman there’s a tinkerbell seat cover!

  64. freethought Says:

It would have been more effective if you punched a hole in the window and stapled it to the steering wheel. Now you’re just motivating the ass to park stupid to collect another award.

  65. gatzke Says:

Nice one, but you should have added arrows between the car and the curb with measurements.

  66. Bob Says:

    any other bonus?

  67. fool Says:

    LOL very good.

  68. super, f. Says:

Good stuff!, should’ve added the web address tho.

  69. Prodnose Says:

I did something like this once – trying to get home, and could not get past a car parked on the sidewalk. He came back to a big piece of paper on his windscreen reading PARKER OF THE YEAR AWARD 2008!

  70. Dante Says:

lol, thats awesome. thats like something my mom needs. whenever we go to someplace(like walmart or the mall) or any place with parking spots she pulls in across, literally, 2-4 parking spots x.x

  71. DaMan Says:

I always see that happening in the city!!!

  72. Ron Says:

“Lets park here & walk to the kerb”

  73. Phil E. Drifter Says:

Why didn’t this person get a ticket?

  74. Ashley Marie Says:

    bahaha, that is too awesome!

  75. paresh Says:

nice way to overcome everyone on right track.

  76. S.Ali Qamar Says:

Hillarious and tight … Couldn’t stop laughin’? Are you a traffic warden in England by the way?

  77. divaboricua Says:

I hate people that think that everything is photoshopped!!
    Their brains ARE photoshopped!!
Who cares? It is for fun!!
    Get a f#$^*ng life!

  78. Brayden Lawless Says:

@ Everyone who thinks it is photoshopped…

If it truly was photoshopped, the spot on the ground that looks like an oil drip in the award picture would be shiny, like on the original picture.

Congrats, i solved the puzzle. You’re all idiots. Not photoshopped, just brilliant.

    Bravo

  79. Tofslie Says:

Just in case everybody doesn’t know yet, Saying something is photoshopped is a running internet joke. So if you see it, brush it off.

  80. dakota Says:

Reminds me the line in Annie Hall: the woman parks her car and asks the passenger: ‘Is that an OK parking job?’ And he looks out his window and replies: ‘Oh yeah, I think I can walk from here to the curb.’

  81. RobG Says:

now that’s funny wish i can do that here in the bronx , people triple park here sometimes lol

    good going

  82. Capelin Says:

It is very funny….and I would love to have your job with the time to be so creative!!

  83. heebbagel Says:

    EPIC FAIL

  84. Voshy.com Says:

There should be more like you around to shame these people!

  85. bw Says:

its idiots like this that wonder why there car got hit this is a great idea though im i cant believe that this hasn’t come up on a fail pic. great post

  86. Jeez Says:

That’s not parked! More like they just shut it off and got out!

  87. Treadmarkz Says:

I wish more people in the world had the guts to do things like this.

  88. XBOXLIVEMONKEY Says:

this is nicer then what i did , i went to see walle with my lady . when i went to my car some idiot parts no less then a foot in a half from my car door , im 6.3 almost 280 pounds and my knee is bad since i teared a ligament at work . man me and my lady left a note that said ” learn to part you sack of shit ” and i dinged his car door a few times

  89. PaPAlemon Says:

There’s a few sites delicated to these theme… if u search “Parking idiots” those websites has lots of them. haha. But where did u print the “notice” u gave?

  90. Alphabetix Says:

Nice. I bet they loved that one!

  91. Mitchillio Says:

May I just point out that only 1 person has said photoshopped and it was pointed out that that was a joke. I’ve always been against people trying to point out photoshops but the people going off about it here have reached a point of paranoia. If any of you are reading this, it ain’t an insult, just try to calm down a bit and read the comments before you reply to others, ok?

Great idea! I’d love to see the reaction, absolutely brilliant.

  92. Free Blogger Templates Says:

    nice post! congratulations..:P

  93. Amanda Says:

Hilarious and clever. I never would have thought of doing something like that.

  94. R3 Says:

This is completely and utterly the funniest thing I have seen in a long time.

  95. Nathan Says:

I hate to break it to you, but someone who parks like that won’t begin to understand the point of that “prize.” I know, cuz I used to be married to her.

  96. blaine Says:

dude, awesome idea. got a laugh outta me!

  97. cyndelle Says:

so funny and SO true! there have often been times i’ve wanted to be a ‘parking police’ or something cuz people just DON’T KNOW HOW TO PARK!!! lol i think i might start this around here…..bad parkers beware!! thanks for the giggle

  98. mattamigo Says:

So good I had to read all the comments…and THAT is rare, :o)

  99. E Says:

Funny, but yeah, not sarcastic enough. =P

  100. J. Says:

Oh, not even. I was in a very small town. I came across a car, parked in the middle of not just a street but an intersection. All doors opened. Parked diagonally. No driver anywhere in sight and (s)he didn’t show up in the time I was there.

    THAT wins the award.

  101. Tofslie Says:

    RE: J

That’s fine, but next time take a picture of it and so something creative, then maybe your story will be more interesting.

  102. timothy Says:

how do you know that there wasnt a handicapped person in the car and needed that room to get out, or somebody with a broken leg or someone in a wheelchair.

  103. Rumpelstilzchen Says:

    @timothy

You’re talking about physically handicapped people, not mentally handicapped ones. Being in a wheelchair doesn’t make you retarded, so you’d have no excuse for parking that way.

  104. Kyle Says:

Yeah, timothy, I myself am in a wheelchair, and I can quite honestly that if anything I’d have to park closer to the curb so as allow the wheelchair lift some room to open up. As for a person with a broken leg, I don’t know. I don’t trust people who weren’t born cripple. Fakers.

  105. david Says:

IT’S A FRACTAL, oh that’s really great gave me an awesome laugh or two

  106. Guyon Says:

Ugh, look at that ugly Pontiac Vibe back there.

  107. SuSie Says:

Just so you know, there is a site where they sell BOXES of yellow bumper stickers that say, “I PARK LIKE AN IDIOT”. I have 5 in my car…unfortunately the only time I had the nerve to leave one, it was an ancient old woman who probably has more important things to finish up before she dies….I will use one eventually though!

    http://iparklikeanidiot.com/

  108. Hairy Bob Says:

That’s a fantastic idea! The entrance to the rear of my building has KEEP CLEAR in 3-foot letters on the road in front of it, and people constantly park halfway over it, I usually just knock their bumper off/smash the headlamps as I drive out but this is a much better solution!

  109. spy gear Says:

    outstanding….
